If anyone has an old Sprint 1500 laying around after replacement, I may be interested in taking it off your hands for spare parts to mine. Please PM me if you have an old one, even if it doesn't work any more or you're missing pieces.

Jerry,
I have one, I live in Kennett Square PA, and keep our boat in Rock Hall MD, it's pretty heavy so shipping could be a little problem. I think that the gearing broke, so that was the reason I replaced it.

You can still get parts for the Sprint1500, but you have to look hard. I replaced all the bearings, some of the gears, the motor, the seals, and maybe other stuff in mine about 3 years ago. The windlass had got seawater inside and was corroded and seized. Some parts I sandblasted. I can't tell you where I got the parts because I am not at home (sailing, currently in Hilo, returning home in the fall). If you open it, have new seal kit on hand (I carry one just in case). BTW - my cost was over half of a new windlass, but a new windlass requires modifying the boat so I figure I came out ahead.
